Reston, VA – September 6, 2022 – Golden Key Group (GKG), a professional services firm Redefining Workforce Optimization™, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The company has grown from a handful of employees working from the CEO’s basement in 2002, to 350 employees with Headquarters in Reston, VA, a 20,000 square foot facility in Landover, MD, and offices in Vine Grove, KY and Rockville, MD.
GKG started as a Talent Acquisition and Executive Search company and evolved to support federal Human Resources, Human Capital, Learning & Development, and Professional Consulting Services. The firm has supported over 50 federal departments and agencies since its inception.
“Our vision when we started GKG was to build our team with unparalleled experts and become a true partner that our customers could depend on every time,” said GKG CEO and Managing Partner, Gretchen McCracken. “As we evolved with a proven track record of success, GKG has become a one-stop-shop for all federal workforce needs. It’s been an incredible journey.”
To celebrate the milestone, GKG unveiled new logos and cover photos on social media. Additionally, the company shared a video of employees highlighting 20 favorite things about the company. GKG will be sharing other short videos, blog posts, and snippets from its history throughout the year, using the hashtag #GKG20.
“Believe it or not, the idea for GKG started on the back of a napkin. Our humble beginnings drive our culture. While we continue to experience exciting growth, we maintain the family feel we’ve always had,” said McCracken. “GKG remains steadfast in our commitment to deliver customer-focused and innovative solutions for the federal government.”
Over the years, GKG worked with employees to develop core values that define the culture of the organization. GKG “LIFE” means Leadership, Integrity, Family, and Excellence. GKG employees show Leadership internally and across the government contracting industry, do everything with Integrity, treat each other as Family and demand Excellence from themselves and each other.
GKG also has a strong focus on giving back to the communities where they do business. From food drives and holiday toy donations to supporting military family groups and technical colleges, community engagement is important to the company and will be going forward. As the company continues to grow and reach its next milestone, it is focused on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) both within the organization and in the federal government.
