Golden Key Group Receives Important Navy Contract Vehicle

The SeaPort-NxG award opens the door to support 23 functional areas

Reston, VA – August 4, 2021 – Golden Key Group (GKG), a professional services firm providing workforce optimization solutions, received the SeaPort-Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) prime contract award. SeaPort-NxG is the Department of the Navy’s “mandatory for consideration” vehicle for the procurement of Professional Support Services.

With this win, GKG has access to the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 23 functional areas to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Office of Naval Research, and the U.S. Marine Corps.

“SeaPort-NxG opens the door for GKG to support the Navy and Marine Corps with services that are redefining workforce optimization within the federal government,” said GKG’s president, Jeffrey Fowler, a retired Navy Vice Admiral. “Over the course of my 32-year military career, I saw, firsthand, how companies like GKG help the Navy remain prepared to execute its mission and defend American interests around the globe.”

GKG received the prime contract award as a result of the SeaPort-NxG Rolling Admissions solicitation N00178-21-R-7000. GKG demonstrated past performance and its capabilities to provide qualified personnel, materials, facilities, equipment, test instrumentation, data

collection and analysis, hardware and software, and other services.

“With GKG’s ongoing support of Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, and recruiting for the National Guard, we impact future leaders of the U.S. military every day,” said Fowler. “We are excited to build upon work we’ve done in the past to serve the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps with SeaPort-NxG.”

NAVSEA established the SeaPort Office to address strategic sourcing demands and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)’s performance based contracting directive. The vision was to provide a faster, better, and cheaper means in which to procure Professional Support Services. The SeaPort Program Manager states, “With SeaPort-NxG, you too can join our team of dedicated professionals committed to our Nation’s Navy.”
